Maintaining fish in a fish bowl is the utmost initial step to keeping fish as a hobby for many people. Moreover, keeping fish in a fish bowl is the simplest way you could give utmost care to pet fishes in your house.

History of Keeping Fish in Fish Bowl

Keeping fishes as pets goes back at least 4000 years. Initially Chinese maintained the fishes in containers as hobby. But the glass bowl was invented during mid 18th century by Madame Dubarry, Mistress to King Louis XV.

Although there are numerous theories around keeping the fishes in fish bowl, there are probably millions of people around the world keeping a fish with a fish bowl, which would be their first venture with fish keeping. As far as my knowledge is concerned (I am keeping fishes in bowl for the past 5 years only.), life in a fish bowl isn’t worst with a right condition and right fish.
