Types of Pet Fishes

you should ask a question - what types of
fish are easy to keep? Before studying the
compatability of the fisehes, you ought to know about
the types of fishes.
In general pet fishes can be classified into four major types. They are-
1. Pond Fishes
2. Tropical Fishes
3. Cold water Fishes
4. Marine Fishes
Pond Fishes
Pond fishes would be more or less similar to that of gold fish, but these would prefer to live in open ponds. But you should cover your pond with chickenmesh, otherwise, birds will eat your fishes.
Tropical Fishes
Tropical fishes differ in size, shape and color also. These type of fishes include shrimps, guppy, silver dollars, parrot fish, tetres, pink glass fish, Cat Fish and Betta fishes there is many more.
Cold Water Fishes
Cold water fishes are prefer to live in cooler water temperatures than tropical fish, typically below 20 °C (68 °F). Gold Fish and Koi are the major example of this type of pet fishes.
Marine Fishes
The marine fishes are the one that can live in saltwater only. These fish would
live in the reefs. Angel fish and Anthias are the
major varieties fall under this category. Other marine
fishes include Bass & Groupers, Basslets &
Assessors, Blennies, Boxfish & Pufferfish, etc.
